Board nominations for 2013 are due in writing and must be received by the AWA at P.O. Box 52076, New Orleans, Louisiana 70152-2076, or by email to info@awanola.org no later than January 7, 2013. A one-sentence letter will suffice.

The following 2012 board members have nominated themselves for the 2013 Board, although nominations for all positions, including these, are open to the general membership:

Descriptions of the elected board positions:

President: The president is charged with the duty of supervising all functions of the Association, subject to the instructions of the Board of Directors or the full membership; shall preside at all general meetings of the Association and the Board of Directors; and shall be an ex officio member of all committees.

Vice-president: The VP shall perform the duties of the president in the president’s absence and perform such other functions as the president or the Board of Directors may from time to time assign.

Corresponding Secretary: The Corresponding Sec. shall conduct the correspondence of the Association, issue notices and perform such other functions as the president or the Board of Directors may from time to time
assign.

Recording Secretary: The Recording Sec. shall keep minutes of all meetings of the Association and the Board of Directors and perform such other functions as the president or the Board of Directors may from time to time
assign.

Treasurer: The Treasurer shall collect all membership dues and receive any other monies on behalf of the Association; shall be the custodian thereof; shall cause them to be deposited in a bank designated by the Board of
Directors; and shall be responsible for disbursement of funds as authorized by the Board. The treasurer shall make periodic reports to the Board, make an annual report to the Association and maintain a list of members in good standing.
