The ABA Section of Litigation – The Woman Advocate Committee will host a local networking opportunity on  March 21st, 11:00 a.m. at Stone Pigman (546 Carondelet Street).

AWA members may wish to attend before our March luncheon, which starts at noon at Mr. B’s.*

Carol Frohlinger of Negotiating Women, Inc., co-author of Her Place at the Table and Nice Girls Just Don’t Get It and internationally known speaker, will speak about second generation gender issues – the powerful barriers to women’s advancement that are outcomes of either cultural beliefs about gender (stereotypes) or workplace policies and practices that inadvertently disadvantage women and how they impact business development.

The Woman Advocate Committee will be meeting all across the country simultaneously at 11:00 Central time, and Carol will address us via electronic connection about gender bias and ways in which to deal with it. The New Orleans meeting will be chaired by Abby Farris of Stone Pigman.

RSVP to jbeck@stonepigman.com or afarris@stonepigman.com

* The meeting is scheduled to end no later than 12:30 p.m. You can leave early to attend our luncheon at noon. If you are not attending the AWA luncheon, you are welcome to bring your own lunch to the meeting.
