The AWA August Luncheon will be held on August 20, 2015, noon, at Emeril’s Restaurant (800 Tchoupitoulas).
Our speaker is Kara Van de Carr, president of the board of directors of Eden House. She is a former diplomat at the US Embassy in Jamaica and sits on the Louisiana Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force for the MDLa and EDLa. Kara is also an adjunct professor at Tulane and teaches an interdisciplinary course on human trafficking. She will speak to us about Human Trafficking and Eden House.
Menu:
Appetizer – (1) Choice of New Orleans Barbecue Shrimp or (2) Arugula, Endive & Radicchio Salad;
Entrée-Choice of (1) Chicken and Waffles, (2) Gulf Shrimp Pasta, or (3) Sweet Barbecue Roasted Salmon;
Dessert – Emeril’s Banana Cream Pie
