As one of our 2015 Fall Community Outreach Projects, the AWA has committed to providing Thanksgiving dinner to the women and children at Metropolitan Center for Women and Children again this year! Metro offers individual and group counseling and assistance for domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking survivors. Metro also provides a children’s program, legal information and advocacy, and community outreach for the Greater New Orleans area. There are currently 22 women and children living at the shelter.
